Andre Jackson breaks wrist

At Syracuse that would leave us with 2 playable guards.
I am sure he wasn’t high on UConn’s depth chart though.
 
Could we have gotten him and Kadary? He might have gotten Owens' scholly.

i think so but i don't have any hard evidence to support it

the timing of kadary's commit makes it look like he may have been a back up option, but we had obviously been recruiting him all along even though he had been silent about it

From what I understand - Kadary was a UConn 'lean' for a while, just as Andre was a Cuse 'lean' for a while.
Once UConn landed Andre, BOTH Kadary & Cuse needed another option, and it heated up quickly from there.

I mean, sure, it's possible we'd been in contact with him prior, but I don't believe we actually offered him until AFTER Andre verballed to UConn.

Feel for the kid. He has had a rough start with quickly finding his minutes go to nothing. He just isn't really a great fit for what they do which is what I've been a broken record on but it is true. They are going to need shooting and whether guys stay and he has to win minutes or leave and he isn't the shooting piece they need it's going to be hard sledding for him. If he can become a Guerrier for them it is his best shot but not sure he can be that kind of player.

As a zone defender and someone who can break out while taking advantage of the spacing given multiple shooters he could have done well here. I still expect him to find his groove but it's going to take longer.

Kadary always had interest in us but it wasn’t mutual... Andre was always coming then Hurley did “Hurley things”. But honestly Kadary would be the best PG on UConn right now and potentially their best perimeter defender. Meanwhile Jackson can’t get off the bench. I bet we’d have 2 or 3 losses already if we had Andre instead of Kadary

Kadary playing PG w/ Bouknight would've been a tough combo to deal with.
Haven't watched any of their games this year, and I liked Jackson's videos, but KR might well be the best PG in the ACC next season. So yeah...we're good.

So, we got the better guy after the guy we wanted more went to UConn. How did we screw up that scouting? I'm glad we got lucky.
 
Best to Andre in his recovery. Hope only the best for him except when he plays against Syracuse.
 
Bummer. Hopefully it's not more than a couple of months out and he can make a full recovery soon.
 
Wish Andre the best in his recovery but l honestly never saw what everybody was so excited about...other than highlight dunks his game had a lot of holes in it. He's really a poor shooter who needs to be in the open court to be effective.
 
We have all begged for more Kadary this year and hes been one of the best things about our season...meanwhile the boneryard has a thread on praying to God Jackson develops a jump shot so they can have a good season next year. Sometimes things just work out for the best!
 
He is a bum, and we got kadary! UCONN lost, and we blew out SDSU! UCONN sucks, and we're great
 
Nothing against the kid but if Andre Jackson had committed here not only would we have not gotten Kadary but our season would be long over by now. All of that disappointment was totally unnecessary.
