Two quick stories from Chicago last night...

1) After the victory, my wife, another friend and I went back to the team hotel to celebrate the victory among other SU fans. We were near the back of the room, where ultimately the players entered. Shortly before they did, Coach Boeheim and AD Coyle entered the room. As soon as everyone realized they were here, the entire lobby began to applaud. What caught my eye was how Coyle intentionally hung back in the room once the applause started, and let Boeheim enjoy a well deserved ovation. Class move.

2) A sign you know it isn't your night- so my wife and I walk back to our hotel shortly thereafter. We sat down at the bar and ordered a drink among a # of downcast Gonzaga fans. As the bartender's were cleaning up, someone walked up next to me and said "Can I get a beer?" I look over- Mark Few. Bartender's response?

"Sorry sir, bar is closed..."

Great night and a great win. On to the Elite Eight!
