I'm so sick of hearing about this Syracuse zone. We've already had to listen to all this crap before we faced VCU and again with Florida.

I just don't see the zone being a big deal. We have so many offensive weapons now that McGary has opened everything up for us. If our jump shots aren't going down, we now have the option of going inside to Mitch, who has an incredibly quick inside shot that even Withey couldn't stop.

Michigan will have to beat themselves in order to lose this game. The zone will be a non-issue.

lol .. if their jumpshots don't fall they will be down 10 plus at half.

Love it. When he says we had to deal with this versus VCU and Florida what is he referring to do you think? I'm assuming everyone talking about VCU's press which I think people said would play into Michigan's hands. Regarding Florida they don't play zone so I'm trying to understand what he means. Or is the point he is stupid and we should laugh at him. If so I'm on board, just curious.

Well I agree on one point. I AM getting tired of hearing about the zone. That's all anybody talks about with respect to Syracuse. They seem to forget we have 4 different guys who have scored more than 24 points in a game this year and that we are the second highest scoring team in the Big East.

I do agree they talk to much about our zone at times when they should talk about our offense.

MCW and Southerland have hit full stride for the first time this year. Dirty did play good early but has learned to do it against tougher defense 3-4 games after returning.
Mike has grown into a scorer not just a passer.
Triche is a poised senior leader built like a football fullback.
and CJ is a stud midrange pullup and rim attacker as our leading scorer who does things like this...

and yes he has a dunk of the year nominee all three of his years in orange.

That reminds me, how's Triche's back doing? That's kind of a big deal.

Oh SU is playing this weekend? According to everything I have watched and listen too, Michigan and Louisville are playing on Monday night and Saturday is a forgone conclusion. I listen to a lot of XM and the only talk I have heard about SU is how Michigan will attack the zone. No respect for both the CUSE and the Shockers as if they are just window dressing on the way to the title game. It is more than annoying, its exhausting... OK Rant over! :noidea:

Seriously! How are they going to keep MCW and Triche out of the lane?

In 03 it was all about TJ and the mighty longhorns putting our run to an end. Then there was the article that Kansas could not be beat. I have a feeling the MCW and company are going to be locked in and our offense becomes the story of this one. I also think Wichita St is going to upend the cards... but I am less confident about the shockers than I am the cuse.

Sounds like a football fan who is clueless about bball. We heard similar lame banter from Texas fans in 2003. He won't know what's going on until halftime.

Yeah, that post is a winner.

I guess they don't remember us holding them to 50 points, two years ago. They couldn't do a thing. They are obviously better, but so are we and so is our zone.

Floridas D is overrated. It's easy to be up there in DEF FG% when you play SEC teams.
