Another coach is pulling a Marrone

Happened last January as well, when the UAB head coach left to become a coordinator at Louisville. I guess he was ahead of the curve.

he didnt really pull a marrone.

he traded up.

i dont fault the quit in that scenario.

Both Enos's assistants and Marrone's assistants got the shaft. The CMU coaches were 13 days from LOI day and now they may have to find new jobs. Luckily, I'd have to assume that the new coach will come from the current staff and will retain most if not all.

It is a shame, though, that schools in the non-power conferences will start to feel the real impact of the financial disparity.

This it would appear is a good example of that.

Losing a HC to become a coordinator??

Ugh.

Enos actually made a good move, from "low" paid MAC HC to SEC higher paid OC. DM has his cash for the year but certainly took a demotion otherwise. We play CMU again in the fall, Enos was a pretty good coach, just should make it easier to smack them around.

The Marrone equivalent would be if he left the head coach job at CMU to become the OL coach at UMass.

I'd be jumping all over Enos and his offense while at CMU...

We even made CMU look incapacitated.
