At least this one uses probability.

14. Syracuse Orange
Conf Rank: 4th in ACC | POFF: 113.8 | PDEF: 89.7
Best case: 4th | Worst case: 27th

It is too bad Jerami Grant is not a 6-foot-3 combo guard. Syracuse is so strong in the frontcourt, but odds are against freshman Tyler Ennis and returner Trevor Cooney both playing at an elite level, and Michael Gbinije is playing out of position as a backup point guard. The simulation is concerned about the lack of depth in the backcourt. The zone defense will also miss Michael Carter-Williams' size, which led to a phenomenal number of steals last season.

Fun fact

Did anyone know there is a Division 1 school with the name of Incarnate Word? Apparently they are a new member of the Southland. I wonder what their athletic budget is?

As a Catholic institution, their budget is only limited by the amount the churches leaders can squeeze from their backers. ;)

Why did this guy's simulation place Gbinije primarily as the backup PG? It doesn't take in depth analysis to realize most of his playing time will be at SG with maybe 2-3 mpg at Point.

Yes I am here in San Antonio and a current grad student at UIW.

How you guys looking? You think you can give Cuse a run?

Lol no. Small squad and a lot of local kids play football here. Good to see them division 1 thou. Still bleed Orange. -

Yeah I don't know if that means he's getting most of his minutes there, or he's just getting all of the back up PG minutes, ands also minutes on the wing

Well, that's not how it worked out in Canada.

This projection doesn't take into account the fact that we don't NEED both Ennis and Cooney to play at an elite level. Hell, we don't need either of them to be "elite" to make a deep run. We just need them to be good, particularly Ennis.
