When an "old" pitcher has to "reinvent" themselves they had better be named Mike Mussina. He is the ony one I can recall having decent success in doing that Freddy shouldn't have been signed again by the Yanks who have far too many kids in the farm system that need a chance to show their stuff. Phelps is still on the list of quality pitching prospects that need to see the mound more often . Getting hit in Boston is not a career blocking incident. Baseball is a game for people not suffering the ravages of age in strength and most importantly reflexes.
