ANOTHER replay example today

Ill-LaTech late fumble by LaTech Qb recovered by Ill ran back and fumbled recovered by LaTech. LaTech goes on to score.

my question is what happened to the replay guy ? they asleep at the wheel again? By rule its an incomplete pass, since it was a Turnover it has to reviewed, but it wasn't. the announcers dont even discuss it and the play goes on..

does no-one on Ill know the rule enough to even question the mistake?

Note: I did not see the play or game in question.

All plays are reviewed by the replay official. The game is only stopped if the play/ruling is reviewable and the replay official deems that the ring needs to be overturned (or, presumably, if more time is needed to conduct the review).

Are you sure you're not confusing NFL and college rules wrt the review process?

in the ncaa all plays are supposed to be reviewed if there is doubt. in the nfl only a subset or when the coaches ask.

you see calls almost every game that dont get stopped for review that are wrong and nothing happens. i dont think its possible for them to review the plays fast enough without stopping the game most of the time.

just an example there are so many bad spots you have to think they dont want to slow the game down to fix them unless asked or the clock is already stopped. even ones at the game end they hardly ever fix.

but turnovers should always be confirmed
