Queeley said the team "knew it could play" the way it did against Clemson. "It was just a matter of time." He adds that the opportunity for an upset provided extra motivation.
Queeley said that all the backups have prepared like starters. That includes QB JaCobian Morgan. Said it was cool to see him take some late snaps at Clemson.
Queeley said Dino Babers has preached staying together and not settling. "We want to have the mindset that we can come in and beat those type of teams (like Clemson)."
Queeley said he felt "very comfortable" as the No. 1 receiver at Clemson. He declined to answer when he found out Taj Harris wouldn't be playing.

Mikel Jones on now. Asked him about defending the run on plays when the DL slants the other way (which Josh Black mentioned last week). Basically, it's on the LBs then DBs and it's a big reason why the unit as a whole emphasizes playing fast and physical.
Jones said the players being "way more locked into our assignments" and an improved gameplan factored into Syracuse's improved run defense vs. Clemson. The hope is that continues as experience accrues down the stretch of the season.
Jones said he saw CB Garrett Williams put in extra work during the offseason "just like me."
Jones said Wake Forest's tempo, run game and perimeter passes are points of strength. Communication will be important for the D when the Demon Deacons string plays together. SU's depth could be too: "That might be a problem, but that's only if you're on the field too long."

Nykeim Johnson on now. Talking first about the team's effort against Clemson. "It's just really about our mentality and focus. ... We have to do that with every opponent. We have to treat every opponent like they're the No. 1 team in the country."
Nykeim Johnson said an emphasis for JaCobian Morgan (and any backup) has been prep and putting yourself in the shoes of the starter. For QBs, that's understanding reads and decision making.
Nykeim Johnson said that QB Rex Culpepper is a hard worker. He'd done well to step up.
Nykeim Johnson said he's not really thinking about the decision to potentially come back next year. His focus is on making the most of this year.
