I guess it is possible but we have good depth in the secondary now. After addressing various needs with the last recruiting class, the only area we definitely need more bodies is at linebacker, where with the last minute defections of Owens and Whitehurst, and the move of Davis to FB, we remain dangerously thin.

I think it is probable we are going to end up adding a linebacker or two to the class late. Might be from HS, might be from the JUCO ranks, might be a transfer. Maybe someone from Eastern Michigan, where new LB coach Steve Morrison is coming from.

I see that one-time SU verbal OLB Darius Parsons never signed. In fact, he apparently doesn't have any offers. Grades?

MLB Nathan Ricketts (3 Star, #56) is a real enigma. Despite being named a Parade All-American, he only made HM all-state (MI) in Division 3/4, and his only offers are from a couple of MAC schools.

Parsons is going to Prep due to academics, prob Hargrave. Some of the insiders claim he never had an offer, It sounds like he may have been told to get his academics in order and he would get an offer...

Speed. He runs a 4.99/40 and needs to get bigger being only 210-215lbs. Real dicey. He's waiting for a BCS offer to come thru, but may have to settle for the MAC. If he could gain a step and get bigger, he'd be a B10 commit by now. He's got everything else.

No offense, but he's leaning Pitt and visiting there on the 10th. I don't exactly consider Pitt to be a big name school and they're coming off a HC change. If he's that interested in Pitt, there's no reason why SU couldn't make a play.

That being said, if SU has backed off and permanently, then that's a whole other story.
