Knowing how little time JB has left coaching, by his choice or not, I have no doubt that he wants to win everything he can.  Kadary is absolutely in position to make that happen next year.  If he asks the coach for this, and JB tells him good luck, the trajectory of our team's possibilities dips considerably, if Kadary leaves.  Leverage only works when you exercise the other option.  When you threaten to leave if you don't get a promotion, then you darned well be prepared to leave if the boss says no.  I think Kadary has many options next year if hears no from JB.

All that being said, I doubt Kadary does it.
