Anyone have any idea on how to watch a game on ACC Network overseas? Will be in China for the Pitt game and would like to try and watch - not sure there will be a local establishment capable of showing the game though I’m hopeful!

The Chinese have their telecoms locked down pretty well. May be tough. Good luck. Hopefully someone has a good option for you.

That's kinda what I'm afraid of... Last time I was there, was able to watch SU-FSU at the Dome but that was an ESPN game. Don't think I'll get that lucky this time around. Might be tough finding the Yanks WC game, too.

Check to see if any of the VPN services are usable in China. If so, and you have ESPN credentials then you should be OK.

See my post above. I use Witopia.net but there are a lot of other options.

My son is in China for a year and is using a VPN to access things outside of China. I don't know which VPN he uses, but was told to be sure to set it up BEFORE arriving in China.

I have a Verizon phone and did not change SIM cards, and was able to access many otherwise blocked apps with my phone. WiFi was impossible though.

You may pay a high price as there are rumors that the Chinese have placed a stiff retaliatory tariff on SU football.

Will be in Amsterdam for Pitt game. Usually I can find a "sports bar" i.e., a soccer bar, where I can bribe the bartenders to get the game; 20-50 euros usually does the trick.

Thanks all for the advice -- just a quick question as I'm fairly new to the VPN world. Do they all charge? Or are there any reliable free services? I can also research the sites provided above.

I believe most (if not all) are going to charge you for the service. I think most will offer some sort of free trial too. When I signed up with Nord VPN, I got a 7-day free trial before they charged me. So that may be an option depending on how long you're going to be there.

Unlike traditional applications, there is no way for them to integrate advertising (associated with most “free” services), hence they require payment. Well worth it.

I listened to the MTSU game on WAER last year when I was in Beijing. I streamed it from their website, I'm surprised it wasn't blocked (although I kind of wish it had been...)

I was able to find a stream of the Western Michigan game on Reddit while in Australia.

I just searched "CFB Streams Reddit" and clicked the Reddit site link and looked through the list. Not sure this helps much, but I'll try to remember to stop by and post a link on game day.
