I believe so. That BET was 2006, and that BU game was Nov of 05. But man, look at our bench for that game. Amazing how much better our recruiting has been since Roberts/Watkins/Nicols/Wright left.

Aside from the 2006 BET, that was just a bad team. Amazing that they went from getting manhandled by DePaul to winning that tournament.

Ironically, I actually think the 2006-07 team (which didn't make the NCAA tournament) was a better team than the 2006 team that was a 5 seed.

I agree. The 06 team has no business being a 5 seed. Still, the glow from the BET made the A&M loss fairly easy to handle.

That was a rotten team to watch. Four days in March were really cool, but didn't save the rest of that year. I agree that the 2007 team was superior, despite its weaker postseaon recognition.

Oddly, I am pretty sure that both Bucknell and DePaul also beat Kansas within a calandar year prior to beating us.

By tip time A&M was the Vegas favorite, that's all you need to know how badly the committee flucked that seeding up. On the opposite side how the hell was the 2005 squad only a #4 seed?
