Well maybe if put forth just a little effort on the boards the score would have been much different. I know Marshall is a good rebounding team, but c'mon, that second half was poor at best on the boards. You know its bad when scope is second on the team in boards, and 3rd isn't even close to his number. Add CJ and Dirty with 2 boards combined, that's good...

Got up by 16 in the 2nd half and played not to loose. It usually works but is very difficult to watch.

I wouldn't worry. We had this team blown out, but the opponent fought and kept their respect. Between Bernie, NY, and Florida, this would have been quite the trap game with a less talented group. Then Triche missed a lot of the game. Being drained and going into a game against such a scrappy team is dangerous, no matter what your rank.

Very true. This year and last year our halfcourt offense is not good. I don't know if it is bad guard play, lack of guard quicks, players aptitude grasping sets, coaching, or what but it needs to get better QUICKLY. If Marshall could shoot then we would've been routed.

We're too content to just hoist up outside shots.
Need to go to the hoop and draw some fouls.
Triche seems most adept at that...and he sat out the 2nd half.

Scoring in the paint off half court sets seems to be our Achilles heal.
The worst was that wild longshot Scoop tossed up coming off a timeout and (presumably)
a play or at least an idea of how we should try to play.

Worst game we played all year. Better it happens now. No big deal.

Marshall is the kinda team that could give Pitt and Cincy hell. You zone them? They are screwed. They can't shoot. Nor are they disciplined enough to run a zone O.

JUCO slashers and bangers. The #2 team in Conference USA. Wow.

They will finish with 20+ wins. Might even be a bubble. We were a horrible match up for them.
