Doug has to realize by not that split duty for special teams coach is simply not working. However, by no means do I believe that our special teams coach needs to be an expert X's and O's guy. It's special teams, as long as we just have someone who can focus on that when needed, that should be enough. However, why not use the position to bring in a top notch recruiter, for an area like New Jersey or Florida or, in my dreams, Texas, and let him be our Trooper Taylor, Larry Johnson, Ed Orgeron, Sal Sunseri type of guy? Right now our best recruiters seem to be Hackett (Maybe, let's see if he keeps rolling after getting Wilson and Allen), Wheatley, and Adkins. One more wouldn't hurt.

I think you bring in a good recruiter any time you can. But I don't know that we have a position open on the staff right now. Don't we already have the maximum number of assistants?

Yep. Who goes? I don't think we'll see a new face until Anselmo retires.

Limit is nine, we have nine. Right now, positions doubled up on are Linebackers, where Anselmo and Morrison are both coaching. Anselmo is also Assistant Head Coach.

I'd like to see us hire a special teams coach as our special teams coordinator.

Marrone is coaching special teams this year.

And space is made for Anselmo because he's so important to NYC recruiting.

If the staff focuses on special teams we will do better. I hope that Alsemo hangs around another 10 years as he is a recruting monster

Who are you firing?

If Marrone can't do the job, I'm not sure anyone else can. Coach Beamer can handle HC and ST coach with no problem. Would a coach specifically dedicated to ST help? I'm not sure.
