As I'm figuring they'll be zero tix left from SU for us plebs when all is said and done, and if the hoops Gods are smiling on us :))) on Thurs., gonna head over to the Beantown early saturday with a friend or two to try and figure out a way to catch the elite 8 game. I've always heard tix were available from the droves of people leaving whose team lost and that there are tix to be picked up that way. Anyone ever find success with this?

Or should I just drop the bucks on Stub hub on thursday after the game? Any thoughts or anyone thinking about doing the same? Curious what strategies people are taking. Thanks in advance.

you can't use stubhub for saturdays game unless you buy them now, because if you wait til we win thursday night, your tickets won't be overnighted until friday and you'll receive them saturday when you're on your way to Boston. Tickets aren't electronic, they have to be fedex'd

Stubhub has a feature where you can pick up tickets at a local meeting point in the city where the event is hosted the night before the event, a kind of "will-call." I wish I'd known this before I bought tickets to Thursday's game in Pitt on Monday.

As of Wednesday night, you could still buy tickets, but just pick them up at a stub-hub "spot" locally in the city. It seemed pretty legit. I wish I'd waited. The price really dropped between Monday and Wednesday. I could have sat in the lower level for $40.

But can you have the independent seller ship them to the local stubhub kiosk or is that only for tix that stubhub Corp. is selling and not mom and pop

That I don't know. I clicked on tickets on Wednesday just out of the curiosity to see how on earth someone would get tickets from stubhub the night before an event, and this "pick-up" option popped up. I would think that the seller would need to send their tickets to these stub hub "pick up" centers a certain amount of time before the event or risk losing their money.

You could have sat at center court on the lower level on Thursday for $20. It was the ultimate buyer's market.

The Stubhub local pickup spot is used extensively by friends of mine for the BET. It is absolutely legit. The prices for tickets for Saturday are going to be high, especially if Ohio State and Syracuse advance. Those are two of the biggest fan bases in the country...not a good setup for prospective buyers.

If SU wins, I will going to try and buy up tickets for friends from Wisconsin fans. This is something we should all try and do...

For the regional final just wait until after the Sweet 16 games, you can practically pick them up off the ground from the two sets of fanbases that lost.

This is TRUE. In Memphis, we passed the official Stub Hub table every time we walked through the lobby of the Marriott. They were doing a brisk business with people picking up their tix. (And they even gave us Stub Hub tee-shirts, even though we were not their customers).

I am pretty sure there is a stubhub pick up right in the garden

Here's the pickup location for stubhub last minute services. I's pretty sure any tickets bought from Tuesday through Thurs for Thursdays game can not be shipped and you have to pick them up here. As someone mentioned there are not any e-tickets for these games.

If you call stubhub they can tell you which specific seats are LMS

I bought scalped tickets for the Regional semifinal in Albany in '03. Just make sure you go into it knowing what tickets are going for so you don't get ripped off.

thanks everyone for the heads up and info. Gonna give it a whirl.

Worst case I'll find the Cheers bar and take up residence (assuming it's still there?)

Thinking of doing the same thing, CR.

Not Cheers, but buying tix in advance (via Stub Hub or scalping). There's a lot of better bars for game viewing in Boston than the Bull and Finch Pub.
