He's relevant, because he gave himself to Cuse..

As of this week, still no word from the NCAA..

The recent Tucker crackdown has me believing that Tucker may be part of the investigation...

Steven was forced out - deserves to play. With guaranteed scholarships, I'm afraid the NCAA can't figure it out. If they rule on Steven's behalf, they may set a dangerous precedence for how to bypass the new rules- for poor players(not the case here). If they rule in Stevens favor, they will bypass the final word of the "questionable" team physician, and set another precedence... Bad situation... Steven deserves to win this...

What do you think? Please note... We'll be shut down, if we bad mouth any team physician...

There was a problem with paperwork that the NCAA needs in order to make their determination. The NCAA received that paper earlier in the week. Hopefully arrived in enough time for them to review and make their determination by Saturday.

Thank you for keeping all of us up to date on your son. I really wanted to see him in Orange and imo he was a vital clog in the DL. I hope he is cleared soon to play and he enjoys a wonderful career of playing football.

I have a question for you if you have the time. I know the D has to have have quality to be able to rotate and rest the players, do you feel SU has that depth and also do you feel the DC would do so to rest and make sure players avoid injuries by being more fresh? With any quick 3 and outs it just puts so much stress on the D physically and mentally.

Ahhhhh, the paperwork, a bureaucrat's control mechanism.

An "I" isn't dotted or a "T" isn't crossed,
and if by chance, the paperwork is good,
it simply gets lost.

No decision has to be made,
no decision can be made,
and the bureaucrat still gets paid.

Bcubs, I am truly sorry about they way Steven has been treated by Dr. Tucker and now by the NCAA. I wish him well and I hope he gets a chance to play on Sundays if he so chooses. You raised him well, he has a great work ethic, has his goals set and strives for them (academically, physically, athletically, and apparently socially as he has controlled public comments about the Dr. Tucker issue) and from what everyone on here says, he is a great person. Thank you for sharing your son with a bunch of lunatic Syracuse football fans.

Please feel free to stay around this board. You have great insight into line play and what a parent and player go through. And when Steven ends his college football career, sign him up, too.

Pretty sure that the starters on DL will acquit themselves fairly well in most games; FSU, LSU, and Clemson will be difficult simply because those OLs are chock full of potential NFL draft picks. The rest of the games, including Louisville and Miami, could be fun as long as the injury bug doesn't strike too hard. Depth will, of course, be a concern. As a general rule, I've never have been a fan of relying on true freshmen at OL and DL positions. VERY few kids, including many 5 stars, are big enough, strong enough, fast enough, and tough enough to endure the pounding they get from veteran linemen. It's a bit much to ask an 18 year old kid to man up against a 22-23 year old men 30 or so times in a game.

So, to answer your question, I don't think the depth is there yet. After the 2-deep, things get hairy quick. If this season goes by without anyone getting seriously hurt, I think next year will be superlative.

Believe it or not, it's not the NCAA's fault.

Is Steven making the trip to USC regardless?

Cheeseburger Eddie!

Terry Crews just seems like the nicest, and most down to earth celebrity around.

Relieved to hear it's not the cuse bs following him around.

Fingers crossed they get that stuff done today, with the proper ruling. You guys deserve it.

Thank you. I'm always curious on how effective DL kids are when they get to a certain energy level and no doubt, depth is a serious issue. I really loved your sons motor by the way. Plus...the Cubs are still the World Champions!
