Shanahan used his weapons really well with an avg QB. Multiple jet sweeps, multiple reverses, swing passes galore, just found ways to get his playmakers the ball in space.

I like the thinking and yes, our play calling is as much to blame as TDs play. that said, we don't have proven play makers minus TH.

Did the OL block? Jet sweeps and end arounds don't work well if the DL and LBs are in the backfield.

When the DE sets the edge those plays dont work.. Some teams do a better job than others and maintaining where they should be.

Exactly. I think every coach wants to get their playmakers the ball in space. The problem is the other team is working to prevent this.

This is one thing where our size issue shows up.. smaller people tend to try to run around the block instead of taking it on the proper shoulder to maintain the spot. Its great when you beat a block but when that fails it makes the hole even bigger.
