Anyone watch Shameless?

I'm so conflicted by this show (probably the point I'm guessing). The show intrigues me, but the characters are all such awful people in their own ways, but at the same time have moments of kindness, well, except Carl - that kid is done.

If it weren't for the boobs, I'd definitely bail on it.

The show has really gone downhill fast. Some of the characters are so boring and poorly developed 5 years in that I think they are trying to quickly write them out of the show. They should focus on Fiona, Lip and Debbie, and jettison the rest, even Frank imo.

Last season and this season are, by far, the best in the show's run. It's nice to finally see growth from the characters. Lip is finally accepting the fact that there's life outside the ghetto and he can live it without giving up all of himself. Helene has been a good influence on him, as was the last girlfriend though I can't remember her name.

Micky and Ian are one of the most interesting couples on TV.

Emmy Rossum really deserves an Emmy nomination. Fiona hasn't always been my favorite character but she's killed it the last two years. And she's finally growing up within the context of who she is as a character.

The last couple seasons they've gotten good at balancing the cartoonish aspects (Frank and Bianca on the train tracks, disposing of Sammi) with the serious stuff.

After 10 seasons of the British version, I just couldn't hang on after sampling a few US version episodes. I'd already burned out, even though I like Bill Macy and some of the actors in the newer one.

Didnt see this until now, but Shameless is awesome. The last 2 seasons have been really good, focusing more on the deeper issues than just the funny poor south side hijinx in the first 2 seasons. Disagree completely that the show has gone downhill, if anything the past 2 seasons has made it stronger.
