Anyone watching the Baylor, I mean, Bowling Green game

Lol, yes i am. They play fast and bowling greens schedule is similar to Baylors! :vomit:

Not a bad game.
Matt Johnson has a good arm.
I like MAC games.

My guess is that he'll be at Illinois with his success in the midwest and when he was Eastern Illinois and now at BG. Especially since their in the Big Ten West, I imagine he'll think he'd have a great chance at winning there.

I agree which makes me very angry. This guy in a dome would be amazing.

What a waste.

Might not want to take a MAC coach after getting Beckman from there

He would do very very well in the carrier dome. Again, HC with experience, experience with a proven offensive system that has been productive and scores points Don't make things so difficult.

Babers would love the dome..

Every time I hear about these Mac guys (and I like Campbell) - I think of Doreen and Clawson. Both guys with tons of success that have looked average or worse (looking at you Clawson).

Not saying one of these guys wouldn't be great. But it's such a crapshoot.

It's a lot different recruiting kids with a different focus in their long term life (the guys going to BG) than it is trying to convince kids with pro aspirations and talents to come to your school over Florida, Texas, Tennesee, Oregon and the like. That's a big difference those guys have to overcome as recruiters.

we don't have the talent to run a system that bowling green runs

doeren - defense

clawson - ambiguous system "I’ve been at places where you don’t necessarily recruit for a system, you recruit the very best players you can and then you to tweak your system to fit them. I don’t want to get away from doing that."

it's not that much of a crap shoot. i wouldn't have wanted either guy here

Me either. But I read a lot of articles about them being up and coming hot names. Due diligence is needed.

And for a change I trust our AD.

i have a slight concern. boise is an oddball. their system is to not have a system. which works fine for them as they destroy 90% of their lousy schedule while building up to throwing the kitchen sink at oklahoma.

harsin might be different from peterson which is actually good because i don't think peterson's success there translates

i'm guessing but boise state's innovations must be in how they practice. they go for the versatile multiple confusion stuff that lester is trying to do but they do it way better.

harsin's done well and the ND offensive coordinator has done well so i'm not dead set against harsin. i'm just a little nervous. in college, i'm not big on going under center. make it easy for your qbs first and foremost. worry about rb head of steam stuff later.

Yeah - I wouldn't see Harsin as a home run hire. Better at HC, sure. But similar thoughts on O.

I don't think so either and I don't think he's leaving Boise after 2 years. Makes good money, can win 10 games a year almost every year, it's home and it's his alma mater. He also has a 2 million dollar buyout as well. And all of his experience is west of Texas other than his 1 year stint at Arkansas State. I could be wrong but just don't see him leaving or being that good of a fit for Syracuse.

give up 543 yards, possess the ball for 23 minutes, win by 38

I'd take Babers...I heard other fans sh#t on him for being too hold...but he's like 53.

To be fair, I am referring to Maryland fans, and there's something of a reality disconnect there.

That is why I keep saying coach has to have a proven offensive system that works None of this coach speak, I don't trust it.

we have a lot of "i don't care what the system is just get er done duurrrrrrrr" fans that probably like clawson's idiotic philosophy

He might be great...and he might fall on his face.
