Vandy deserved to win too, because they were better than Alabama on that day, at that time. But they are not better overall. It is more extreme, but it still illustrates the point. It is not shocking that we won, but winning does not necessarily mean we are the better team overall, and by extension, it does not mean we should be ranked higher than UNLV.

Still, I think we should have received more votes overall, and be closer (give or take a couple of spots) to UNLV. But, we don't deserve to take their spot in the Top-25 just because we won; not if you've been watching this team all season. I believe we will get better, and could be quite formidable by the end of the season, but we aren't there at this moment.
