Other than IU that top25 has pretty much all the blue bloods.

I have no issues with our rankings this year. Its a good place to start and we could very well wind up better than most the teams ahead of us or not, we will have to see.

Really no one is clearly better than us right now but neither are we clearly better than say a 10 or so other teams. I do feel that we are in a much better position to be better than some of the teams ahead of us but with a brand new starting backcourt being ranked 8 isn't too shaby.

Of note and something I bet you rarely see in the preseason AP the #1 ranked team has less wins the prior season than all but one of the remaining ranked team.

Kansas lost mclemore, withy, releford and some other Sr. Arizona has a former putt guard as a coach. Ok state has 1 guy, marcus smart .

Hey I'm not saying we aren't better than those teams. Personally I think we are the best team! Just saying that we aren't 100% clearly better than them and voters are seeing a freshman PG and a little used 2G as our starting backcourt. The ranking is off the strength of our returning frontcourt, how good we have been the last few years and JB mainly. Luckily our backcourt is better than most voters know.

8th AP, 7th USA Today. Pretty darn good to start. Good respect with room to move up, without being overbloated and subject to criticism. We are ahead of Okie State (12th) and Michigan (9th) in USA Today poll.

We'd beat the hell out of Arizona, OKSU..and honestly I think we'd beat MSU pretty badly too.

That's a stretch. Arizona has serious talent on that team and a true very good 7ft post player who could do some damage to our centers. I do like our chances against vs MSU/OKSU much better than Arizona. Arizona was a lucky LaQuinton Ross three away from playing Wichita St. in the Elite 8.

I think we would lose to Kentucky, and Arizona. The team that's going to be the biggest surprise is VCU. They have loads of talent and there unheard of because all there recruits were not on the top 100. But VCU and Virgina i think are the biggest surprises. I think Kansas is the bust here. The struggled last year and there starting PG is out for a couple of games. I think Wiggins will be good but he's already a first overall pick. For all we know hes going to fake or really get injured just to stay at the number one. #Irving #Noel <- yes they really did get injured. I KNOW!

IN CLOSING: Another team that can and will be good and underrated is Memphis. They also have alot of talent not only coming in but as is from last year. Some more bust's i think will be UCLA and YES! Michigan St. They have a very tough run in the begining and they might be right out of the top 25 in the first couple of weeks, as is lousivlle, UNC, or even Kentucky. College basketball is A GAME OF RUNS. remember that. Just because your come in the higher ranked team doesnt mean your coming out the higher rank team.
