AP Top 25 for Nov 2

Sagarin Rankings

We are now 77th. Which is 15th in the ACC, next to last of the Northeastern P4s, and first in NY State by a hair! Our SOS thus far is 20th. We only play three Top 25 teams, but five teams between 26 and 36, but no teams between 37th and 67th.

Potentially we are setup for SU vs BC with the loser being the 2nd worst P4 team this year (no one is catching Okie State), and worst P4 in the Northeast.

ACC has only one Top 21 team, but has nine Top 36 teams (8 teams between 22 and 36).

The SEC has five of the Top 9, ten of the Top 19, and the worst team is 51st.

The B1G has the Top 3, but has eight teams worse than the SEC's worst.

The Sun Belt now has the highest G6 conference leader, and CUSA has the lowest ranked conference leader.

I would like to play Northeastern G6s OOC. Temple, Buffalo, Delaware, UMass (worst FBS team) are all out the Top 120. UConn, Navy, Army, Marshall are all outside the Top 75.

Same for the Northeastern P4s. Maryland, Rutgers, West Virginia are all outside the Top 60. Only Penn State is highly ranked.

any rankings that have Penn State as the 20th best team in the country are useless

I agree that all of these computer rankings do not put enough weight on Ls. It can't just be on Ws and Ls, but at the same time I don't care that FSU leads the nation in O YPG and is 26th defensively. The fact that they are 15th in the ACC standings should count more, especially when compared to other ACC teams where it is closer to apples to apples than comparing to teams from other conferences.
