I think there are a lot of great posts and points in this thread. If I could add two more…… I know it has been discussed before but youth sports now are much different than they even were ten years ago. Huge amount of pressure for kids to play travel and club sports or get left behind. My son has played travel hockey and club soccer and almost every single weekend was spoken for. My daughter plays club lacrosse. She would want to go to every SU football and basketball game but just can’t because of tournaments, practice, skills. I think the Venn diagram between people who love college sports probably overlaps significantly with kids playing travel and high school athletics. Makes it really hard to get up to the Hill. In addition, maybe it is just me, but SU home games seem to be clumped together so I imagine folks are also making choices on what to go to. This year is a perfect example. Four games in September and then a significant gap. A more equitable split month to month would probably make an impact….. The EndGame though is having a winning team. That is reason 1-7 re: attendance issues. SUOrange44
