Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in 2014-2019 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/syracuse-ny/13202/month/329675?monyr=4/01/2019 The numbers are the date, the actual high, the historical average high, the net difference, the cumulative net since January 1st, the numbers of days we exceeded the historical average, the number of days we didn't reach it and the number of days we tied it. April 04/01/19 37 – 50 = -13 = -111 37-52-2 04/02 53 – 51 = +2 = -109 38-52-2 04/03 54 – 51 = +3 = -106 39-52-2 04/04 43 – 52 = -9 = -115 39-53-2 04/05 42 – 52 = -10 = -125 39-54-2 04/06 59 – 53 = +6 = -119 40-54-2 04/07 65 – 53 = +12 = -107 41-54-2 04/08 69 – 54 = +15 = -92 42-54-2 04/09 67 – 54 = +13 = -79 43-54-2 04/10 45 – 55 = -10 = -89 43-55-2 04/11 44 – 55 = -11 = -100 43-56-2 04/12 73 – 56 = +17 = -83 44-56-2 04/13 70 – 56 = +14 = -69 45-56-2 04/14 58 – 57 = +1 = -68 46-56-2 04/15 55 – 57 = -2 = -70 46-57-2 04/16 53 – 58 = -5 = -75 46-58-2 04/17 62 – 58 = +4 = -71 47-58-2 04/18 71 – 58 = +13 = -58 48-58-2 04/19 74 – 59 = +15 = -43 49-58-2 04/20 75 – 59 = +16 = -27 50-58-2 04/21 56 – 60 = -4 = -31 50-59-2 04/22 62 – 60 = +2 = -29 51-59-2 04/23 78 – 61 = +17 = -12 52-59-2 04/24 50 – 61 = -11 = -23 52-60-2 04/25 65 – 62 = +3 = -20 53-60-2 04/26 65 – 62 = +3 = -17 54-60-2 04/27 48 – 62 = -14 = -31 54-61-2 04/28 48 – 63 = -15 = -46 54-62-2 04/29 51 – 63 = -12 = -58 54-63-2 04/30 57 – 64 = -7 = -65 54-64-2 Comments: April is a roller-coaster month and April 2019 was no different. We were 10 degrees or warmer than usual nine times and 10 degrees colder than normal 8 times. It may not seem like it after these last few days but we wound up on the plus side for the month: 17-13 in days and +33 in degrees. I was able to get out to a couple of Syracuse Mets games and I rarely go there in April as I hate cold weather baseball. You want to see what a cold April is like? Look at last year: 5-23-2 -266. 2019 Month by Month January -49 12-18-1 February +9 12-15-1 March -58 13-18 April +33 17-13 Aprils: 2014 +12 14-16-0 2015 -18 15-14-1 2016 -109 10-20-0 2017 +119 16-13-1 2018 -266 5-23-2 2019 +33 17-13-0
