Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in April 2021 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers:
Accuweather now gives the actual highs but not the historical averages for each date:
I used this for the historical averages:
The numbers are the date, the actual high, the historical average high, the net difference, the cumulative net since January 1st, the numbers of days we exceeded the historical average, the number of days we didn't reach it and the number of days we tied it.

Comments: We won 16 of the 14 days in April, (exceeding the average high), with a net gain of +82. Not bad but not historically unusual. Right now, in early May, we are seasonally cool so let’s look at that: We’re going to have a stretch of eight straight days where we never reach 60 degrees. The average high has been 60 degrees or more since April 21st. In fact the next time we are expected to reach the average high is May 20th.

That will make for a disappointing May, “full of promises but she didn’t keep them quick enough for some”. But June is on the way!
