...especially with what has come down overnight, but consider the following:

About 30 years ago we lost at home by about 20 points to a team we could have (should have?) beaten. The next week, the #1 team in the country came into the Dome having beaten us at their home the previous year by 50+ points. Sound familiar? Just sayin'...

It's about time, don't ya think? ;)

Oh man, can you imagine how great that would be?!? Anything can happen. Thanks for the reminder. I needed that.

"anything can happen" yes but it won't be beating Fla. st. this weekend (as I'm sure you already know). But what might happen is seeing a glimmer of hope saturday that we might see and element or two that might suggest that we could be competetive with them some day. That's whats I'm hoping for.

We may get our a$$es thoroughly kicked, but we're playing with house money:

- They played games (literally, hangman) with us last season - they will not take us seriously

- They play a top ten opponent the week after (ND) - classic trap game

- sometimes staff shakeups can energize a team. The seniors have been teasing some dissatisfaction with the play calling in some of their comments... (Gulley and Hickey, esp)

- our D is good enough to cause the 2014 FSU offense a few hiccups

- Wake Forest is really bad and hung with them for a while

- it's in the dome

(All that said - I think our percentage chance of a win is like 5%)

I was in the Dome that day, stunned, then jubilant:) I remember thinking at halftime "Jeez, we keep playing like this ,we got chance to beat these guys " One of the greatest things I ever witnessed along with the 1987 season. I witnessed the impossible.

Hello, Donnie Downer.

Yeah, I know it probably ain't happenin'. Sometimes weird (good) shiit happens on any given Saturday. I will, however, settle for a seeing a glimmer of hope for the future.

I'm thinking more like .05% of winning but more like 25% of staying with them for a half and at least giving a sliver and glimmer of light at tunnels end...

I'm in pic 7 of reminder #1. On a friends shoulders holding a sign that says "beer"

There is 0.00 chance SU is winning that game, short of Winston shredding his knee and the back up, that beat Clemson, throwing three picks to Eskridge that he takes to the house.

I hope Whigs doesn't get PTSD this week.
