Are Marrone's Bills too Orange for NFL?

I don't know. Some of the non-Orange NFL guys are good (Mike Pettine). Some are not (Dave Wandsteadt).
If an Orange bias is preventing him from putting together a good staff that's one thing. But his worst assistant is probably Danny Crossman - an nfl vet who has fielded putrid Special Teams units wherever he's gone. I'd rather have a U of R grad assistant.
Not a fan of Hackett's offense last year but lets face it, most OC's in that league are as good as their QB.

Doug Marrone is Orange. So is Rob Moore. A lot of those Bills guys are more Marrone than Orange, however.

By which I mean no real link to SU until Doug Marrone offered them a job.

I think that article stinks. Marrone is a former NFL OC. Marrone will be judged by the record and if he can't win will be fired. They should have basically just written an article asking if Hack can Hack it? Who knows. They say that Kelly hired a bunch of Oregon assistants but because none are coordinators is made sense..I guess

What I found interesting was that Chip Kelly took 5 assistants with him to Philly from Oregon. At the time a number of people on here said he didn't do the same thing as Marrone. 1 less assistant is not much of a difference.

While here, Marrone established that he wasn't afraid to make staff changes if he didn't think something was working out, and the exhibited no Orange bias (example Conley). If he thinks a guy isn't working out in Buffalo he won't hesitate to replace him.

Buffalo's offensive woes have less to do with Hackett and more to do with youth and inexperience on the offensive of side.

Didn't he forget Wheatly?
"Along with Rebrovich and Moore, the Bills have hired the following coaches from Marrone's staff at Syracuse: offensive coordinator Nate Hackett, tight ends coach Greg Adkins, offensive quality control coach Jason Vrable, defensive backs coach Donnie Henderson and special-teams assistant John Anselmo. "
Marrone knows what he is doing. He was smart enough o turn down Cleveland!
