Great points. Hope you can find the time to post more often. Towards the goal of maximizing donations for this project, I want to add my voice to those calling for a dedicated page for donating to this project. This page should include a mechanism to track donations made to date. It should explain what the IPF is and why building it is crucial to the future of the football program (and how it will help other SU sports as well). In addition to the area where donors can specify their donation (set up with the default settings CuseinChina has described above), it should include a list of naming gifts that are available for larger donations, as well as drawings of what the new facility will look like. Ideally this would be done really well, with a 3D virtual tour. a variety of high quality images. etc. These things like this will play a big role in getting people to donate, and influencing how much they donate. Lastly, the site should remain up during the actual construction of the project, and should track it, with a couple of live cams and some videos that get produced on a regular basis where a host takes donors and potential donors through the facility, showing where things stand at a given moment. Appreciate that there is at least a site where it is possible to make a donation. A site like the the one we are talking about is not a big deal to develop. I am sure you could get a student majoring in computer science or information management to whip one up in a couple of hours. Than it is just a matter of tracking the donations in a database, which should happen automatically as part of making donations, and getting the drawings, videos and pictures done. This project is too important to leave money on the table. Get a dedicated donation site done. Do thins like the big boys do and you will get big boys results.
