AO signs with Hunan Yong-Sheng, a 2nd-Tier professional team in NBL in China early this month. He helped his new team win against Anhui with great performance last night. He was in beast mode. AO had 27 Pts, 31 Rebs, 4 Ast, 2 Stl and 1 block. He led Hunan to a 103:88 victory.

AO is no stranger to NBL. He played for Sichuan, averaged 28.6 Pts and 14.8 Rebs in 2014. AO helped them to get promoted to CBA, the top league in China. Sichuan signed Daniel Orton to replace AO for their first CBA season.

Hunan’s ultimate goal is to be another expansion team of CBA within three to five years. NBL regular season is from June to September. If AO plays well enough, maybe he will earn a bigger paycheck from a CBA team. Kevin Knox turns down a one-year contract (1.4 million, after tax) to play for UK.

Sichuan is Deng Xiaoping’s home province and Hunan is Chairman Mao’s. They are both well-known for their SUPER SPICY food. Hope AO’s stomach is strong enough for SPICY EVERYTHING there.
