it was said, i believe on the selection show that 2 of the 'rabid' fan bases ariz and gonzaga would be in salt lake city and it would be the toughest ticket in the country. I thought that was so odd to hear, because I've never thought of either school having a 'rabid fan base'

anyway the arena is completely empty right now. i realize that the zaga fans prob left... but there cant be more than 1000 people there for ariz-belmont right now.

But here I have to go to a sports bar full of U of A fans, and wait for them to leave so Syracuse fans can move in. Of course this is AZ, lol

I think that was said about Zona-New Mexico, not Gonzaga.

Arizona is our west coast doppelganger. Regional program before Lute got there. Took them to a consistent level of success, winning a NC and making 3 other final fours. Fanbase has lots of townies, can be a tad fair weather. The announcers mentioned how Zona was a quick southwest (shameless ncaa sponsor plug) flight away and they'll be in the house on Saturday.
