The Boatshow is drydocked tonight.

However, Calhoun did have nice things to say about JB.

Did Boatright cry a lot or just scowl a bunch?

Love that guy!

Unfortunately, they'll be solid next year with the two recruits that are coming in.

But they need to build off the NC with a solid class next year...or they'll start to slip.

Jim Calhoun has consistently said "nice things" about JB ... on all the games where he was an analyst in recent weeks. He has a lot of respect for JB ... who was the first guy he called after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. (And JB was subsequently very helpful to JC throughout his entire regimen of treatment). Sometimes, it is good to pause and remember that public figures are actually human beings.

(This picture was taken at a Connecticut event to raise money to fight prostate cancer).

The orange jacket is a nice touch.

So they're done this year, just like us.

And our future is brighter.

Jalen Adams will be a great player. Great.

I expect UConn to be top 15 next year. And win another NC before SU.

On the day you lost in the first round of the NIT on your home floor, you choose to come over to another board to pound your chest about how great your team will be next year.

Talk about the definition of a troll.

When you have two of the crappiest teams to ever win championships, you start to believe that even your worst team can win a championship.

To be fair, top 15 May not be unreasonable seeing how easy it would be to track up wins in that turd conference.

If a team starts out ranked doesn't have any bad losses OOC and gets at least one good OOC win it would be pretty easy to creep up the rankings cruising through the AAC while P5 teams take their lumps in conference. Much like Gonzaga does in years they don't clean up OOC. If they roll through the OOC and get a couple big scalps then you stay ranked pretty highly throughout.

As far as Uconn I think with Purvis, Adams and the big guy they do have they should be fine in conference next year but it seems they need to add another big guy and their 16 and 17 classes will be pretty important as far as establishing what level of competitiveness they will be at moving forward.

Whatever though its the AAC which they all hoped was temporary and now they are seeing why. Getting into the ACC was the most important thing for our program going forward.

They couldn't do it this year

UConn's roster probably won't be bad. Adams, Purvis and Hamilton will be a pretty formidable trio; however, outside of those 3 there's not much at all. They have no low post threat (Brimah is too much of a 1 trick pony right now). Not sure how much scoring Cassell, Samuel, Facey, Calhoun or Nolan will provide. The main problem with Purvis and Hamilton is they were so inconsistent this year, but Boatright bailed them out a lot. Adams is good, but he's not Boat (at least not yet). Hard to see UConn being better next year unless Hamilton takes a massive leap or Adams becomes the best freshman in the country.

Thanks for the info. I think Temple, Cinci and Tulsa bring back a lot of upper classman and SMU will be competitive in conference so it will be interesting. The class coming in this year and the following 2 really need to pan out for them or the program as a whole is going to be at a completely lower level as many have predicted since they where left out of the last of P5 expansion.

Hard to believe that a great program like Yukon didn't even make the big dance playing in such a minor conference. It's pretty pathetic.

UConn will not be top 15, and UConn will not make the ncaa for a long time, go back and figure out how to get out of the aac
