As an Army veteran from the 70's, I remember the term FTA ( does not stand for Future Teachers of America). Does not apply here, but I can see where people here may be a little upset. But seriously, with very rigid weight and academic standards, how can we expect the service academies to compete with the big boys? Especially West Point, who from my understanding is the most rigid of the three. (My respectful apologies to the Coast Guard.).

They allow the players to exceed the standards at the academies while on the team...but realistically the programs would do best to compete at 1AA
