Most recruits visit the campus later in the season during conference play. SU will bring them in for the best conference opponent they play at home, and not the biggest non-conference game. I have never seen recruits go on official visits during the second or third week of the season. So chances are they will come for FSU, VT, UM, or GT in the greatest quantity. The game at the Meadowlands allows the NYC region recruits to go to the game from a short distance away if they wish to see the team outside of an official visit as a supplement.
