Here is a comparison vs others he has rated above us. I admit, I am biased, but not sure how one could say the others have better resumes. The Uconn comparison is crazy (Lunardi has them a 9 seed). The only advantage they have is a better road record and they did not lose to st. Johns. Every other advantage is to us and we beat them on the floor. We've played 7 games against the top 50 RPI and 14 against the top 100. Our top three wins are also better than anyone else on that list. Cuse!

Very interesting - I agree, after taking in all of the information, our resume looks the best.

The other thing that should be factored in as well is Boeheim's nine game absence. It's something that the committee "should" consider so why not now?

A point on RPI and SOS and citing both-- and using both as positives when comparing to somebody else. Both have value individually, but when combined as 2 separate positives we run into issues.

A pet peeve of mine that always happens this time of year. The following mistake is always made at this time of year
Team A: RPI 49, SOS 80
Team B: RPI 50, SOS 20

TV Analyst says: "Well it seems that both teams have similar RPI, but it was that much harder for team B to accomplish" So they use SOS to break the RPI tie, which is of course incorrect since SOS is already a factor in RPI. . .

For LSU anyway, you are missing all the sub 100 losses that will cripple them as well.

And the Bracket Matrix (the consolidated pool of brackets) agrees 100% with you.

Of the bracket submitted since Saturday, Syracuse is in more brackets than all of the teams you identified, with the exception of one team - it basically views Cincinnati the exact same.

But UConn plays in a really tough conference!

There are about another 8-10 teams that could be thrown in the mix and be argued against too.

fwiw, Dr. Lunardi now has us in group of last 4 byes (up from last 4 in) in today's updated Bracketology - has FSU still in last 4 in

I agree. I actually pay very little attention to SOS as it has nothing to do with wins. I've always been of the opinion that I could schedule tough teams and lose to them. Winning these games is what matters (I've never been a fan of taking point margin into account), which is what the RPI measures.
