While he's an Oats disciple he puts much more of an emphasis on hustle plays. Alabama struggles on the glass.  South Florida does not. In order to play for him you have to rebound.  They lead that conference in rebounding and have one of the best rebounding differentials in the country which leads the to attempting 4 more shots per game as their opponent.  They also force 3 more steals per game than Bama.

South Florida also takes 7 less 3's per game than Alabama.   Hodgson puts more of an emphasis on getting to the basket and to the free throw line.  They lead the country in free throw attempts.  They take 3 more per game than Bama.  Bama takes 30 2's per game and 36 3's.  South Florida takes 37 2's and 29 3's.  The biggest commonality is pace of play.
