marrone still makes some head scratching decisions but I think he might be getting better there.  considering he's not loaded on offense - they have lots of warts - how can you not be thrilled with their output.
 
Generally, I value balance less than yards.  Balance can be a luxury - if you can gain yards either way, it might be worth sacrificing a little to be prepared to play more defenses.  we're not that balanced in yards which is fine with me but we're committing more to running which makes me happy.
 
the NW and Rutgers losses are disappointing but I look at the USF game as getting one of those back
