Coach Shaw at Stanford said last week, after Stanford beat USC, that there are no more upsets in college football.  I won't go that far because if SU had won yesterday that would have been an upset,  but I think I understand where Shaw is coming from.  The talent at p5 schools is improving among the middle of the pack teams, and we are seeing more quality teams across the board.  Rising to the top is very challenging for any team, and even the cream of the crop are frequently vulnerable. We may see a playoff this season where 3, or perhaps even all 4 of the teams in the playoff have at least one loss.
