I agree. Pitt is like a zombie team. They lose guys every year, it seems that Dixon is not keeping up in recruiting year after year, and then they are just tough, play grab-and-clutch defense, pass really well and don't turn it over. I won't believe they are having a done year until the final buzzer sounds against them.

As much as I hate to say it, UConn will probably be there at the end, even if they lose Boatwright. Calhoun just intimidates his kids into playing tough ball by the end of the year. I thought for sure they were going to drop last year, and they did - they were a crap team, and then they go and win the national championship. Unbelievable. We had better win another title, that's all I can say. We are so close, we MUST close one of these next few years out.

A trap game means youre looking past that game. With the way pitt has dominated us the last few years i dont see any way we look past them.

I just dont see how Pitt can score enough points. Literally unless Gibbs goes for 35 I dont think they have snowballs chance in hell of beating us.

I don't see it either.. Providence - we will be fresh off their challenge at the dunk, Pitt has owned us for going on quite a few years.. revenge win at the utmost.. blow them out of the building.. Notre Dame.. another Seton Hall.. just not as talented... keep them quiet in the pain and let them jack up bricks leading to long rebound runouts.. Cincy will be a tough game. They have streaky guards that can get unconscious from deep. That game concerns me.. but I think we outclass them and still win. JB >Cronin.

We have extreme balance and really are a reality check for most teams in the BE this year who think they are good. Its been a long time coming don't you say? We are all so used to the swoons and letdowns that the shadow of doubt is hard to remove. We are dominant this year and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. The refs are not going to be there every night to try and foul out our front line before halftime.

I actually think the providence game is more of a trap game than pitt. Big monday, playing 1 of our rivals, a team that has owned us for years, we'll be ready for pitt. I could see us looking past providence a little bit, but hopefully their 30 point spanking of the ville got our attention.

You have watched enough CBB to know that We should never chalk up a W against Pitt. That rule remains in effect this year.

I think it all depends on Pitt today against Marquette. After the Rutgers beatdown, Pitt will come out with maximum effort today @ Marquette, if they lose, they will have NOTHING left for Monday and will mail it in. They have a dreaded Saturday - Monday road - road schedule here...which is awful when you're struggling.

I'd rather lose to Providence than get beat again by Pitt or L'ville. For me, I don't think there's a program that I despise of more than Pitt...fueled by Dixon's arrogance.
