At least we have Men's soccer!

What makes you think that will last. This university isn’t committed to having successful programs. It’s all about taking as much money as they can. When the acc gets poached and we are left with the scraps they are going to wish they cared about these programs.

That’s a little dramatic. SU has invested heavily in football. It is still an uphill battle but they’re trying.

As for basketball, it is set up to win at the highest level. No issues with anything. Except, ya know.

SU on their own or with the County needs to build a 5-7K seat soccer stadium.

The team deserves better

They recently signed the head coach to a long-term contract, so that is something.

They invested way too late and one could argue that it’s not enough.

I don't disagree. Doesn't mean that the current administration isn't committed to building successful programs. And if we want to parse data points, SU football was a half away from being in the Top 10 this year. And really one quarter, to be honest.

Progress is being made in FB. I think the coordinator hires were actually upgrades at the end of the day. I am not sure about the position coaches, but on paper they all seem to be pretty good replacements.

Comes down to health and depth there - and it's tough for a program like ours to build depth these days. It's getting better incrementally but Rome wasn't built in a day. While Babers leaves some to be desired in some areas, I think he's been a pretty good head coach all things considered.

MBB & MLAX are question marks. MLAX... we'll see. Not sold on Gait but its a young team. They need to make the tournament this year. Their schedule does them no favors, but no excuses. You went 4-10 last year. If it's something similar, then it's time to worry, IMO.

MBB... it's clear to all that its time. Whether it happens this year or next, the next head coach will have a golden opportunity. And will be given every opportunity to succeed.
