Two FSU football players were reportedly involved in a December shooting.
Tarron Addison, of Madison, was arrested Thursday on a charge of attempted murder in connection with the shooting of Tim Pruitt on Dec. 22, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.
A dispute between FSU freshmen football players Ira Denson and Delmarick "Mario" Pender over the use of a debit card and shoes reportedly triggered the shooting, according to the newspaper.
Pender told police that Denson used Pender’s missing debit card to make several purchases two days before the incident. Pender went to Denson’s apartment to confront him, but Denson was not there, so Pender took a pair of Denson’s shoes as collateral, the newspaper reported.

if I was a thief I would love to play for Jimbo as it appears both stole from each other and the end result was a shooting and it seems Jimbo is praising at least one the players involved....just hope that Meggs is not the prosecutor

Just to be clear, there is not an attempted murder charge for an FSU player. The shooter is not an FSU player. The title is wrong.

Ira Denson is a player, and was with the guy that is with the guy that did the shooting. He is not with the team, but he is still in school. It looks like he will not be charged with anything, but it seems unlikely that he will rejoin the team.

All indications toward the end of last season were that Denson was going to transfer, and stealing was rumored to be the reason. He tweeted stuff about having made mistakes and having to get his life in order. Nobody knew about the related shooting.

However, surprisingly, Denson is still in class at FSU this semester. I don't know if he or his family decided the best way for him to get his life straight was to do it without football and right where he was. It's a bit of a mysterious situation all around.
