Fan playbook please add your own.

-The Party Invite friends to tailgate extol the virtues of Day Drinking, Food and Football
-The Extra Buy 1 extra season ticket and bring a different friend to each game -I'm doing this, hoping it builds fans that come to other games this year and consider seasons next year.
-The Chatter...insert SU game schedule into conversation talk everyone you know into buying at least one single game ticket
-The Carpool let people know you often have space in your car if they have tickets to the game, many people don't go to games because they don't have a spot to park.
-The Roadtrip, long distance fans driving alone buy tickets post you are coming up on here and that you have space in your car and where you are coming from everyone on here will find fan friends near you to fill your car
-The Office Outing For the truly persuasive among us convince the Boss a office outing and tailgate to a game is a great idea morale booster... party bus?

SU Ideas please add your own
The Fill the Car Fill the Dome
-cars arriving at SU owned lots with 4+ people in the car or 5+ in suvs and Vans get a $10 concession voucher
----brings more fans reduces parking congestion
The School bus Rodeo
-Coordinate with school districts in the area to run a free bus for families from the high schools as a park and ride setup SU pays for gas. Bus driver gets a free ticket to the game.
The Crunch Crossovrer
-cross promote with crunch fans and coordinate to use oncenter parking lot for parking with shuttle busses up and down the hill using almond st. Split profit for oncenter lot with county.
The Bar shuttle,
-help more bars in the area set up free shuttles like Kitty and saltine have. Raffle a couple $20 concession vouchers pregame to customers that show their game ticket at each bar that sets a shuttle up.
The SuperDome
-add color to the seats or add padded seats to all benches on the side of the field opposite the TV cameras give the TV audience the impression of a full dome build buzz interest. This really could/should be done to the entire dome.
-The Comstock Capacity coordinate with Syracuse City or JD Schools to add their busses to the shuttles increasing capacity bus drivers get a game ticket

- Run game busses from Albany, Buffalo, etc.

-An idea which has been mentioned before is to have some kind of rewards program. Give points for ticket purchases, and attendance at Olympic sports. Use social media to designate opportunities for earning more points. Give gear for achieving point levels, or allow fans to use them for opportunities to win special experiences such as watching a practice/game from the sideline, or traveling for a road game.

-Allow anyone who donates to SU Athletics above a certain amount (maybe $500) to also receive entries in these contests, and as a thank you for these donors, ask coaches to record personalized thank you videos, which will be emailed to donors. It might sound cheesy, but I think it would be a cool idea, which would help build more connections.

-As an incentive to keep fans until the end of games, run post-game raffles where winner must pick up prize in person at the Dome.

- Offer opportunity for special pricing on season tickets for anyone under 30, as a way to transition new season ticket holders.

-The Comstock Capacity coordinate with Syracuse City or JD Schools to add their busses to the shuttles increasing capacity bus drivers get a game ticket

School busses make lousy shuttles. Takes forever to get people on and off. And all the cool fans fight over the seats in the back.

Who would pay for those shuttles which cost about $75/ hour and have to arrive 1 hour before kick off, sit in a parking lot for 4 hours, then shuttle people back home? That's $450/ bus. The price of a game ticket ain't gonna cut it.

It ain't gonna be the university. And it ain't going to be school districts - that's for damn sure. Free shuttles have to be sponsored by somebody because the driver needs to get paid, insurance needs to had, and fuel ain't cheap.

The Fucillo Flotilla. Slap some temporary Huge signage on them. Good to go.

For SU: D-Tags on tickets for faster process entering the dome getting people in the stands early and keeping fans in the seats till the end.

D-Tags are strips they put on the back of racing numbers for road races. They put a sensor bar on the ground and it tracks when you cross the start line (enter the dome) and records your individual race time at the end (exit the dome).

Use D-Tags on season tickets and computer track times of arrival departure. Percentages just a guess but lets say: Prizes, raffled to top 50% access/field passes raffled to top 30%, free section upgrades to people in the top 15% of attendees for frequency and time of attendance. People in the top 15% two years in a row get double entered in to the raffles and maintain their upgraded location no double upgrade.

Faster scanning of individual tickets on the way in to the dome and easy tracking without individual scanning on the way out. You might even be able to eliminate the turnstiles. Put the biggest fans in better seats keep people in the stands to qualify for extrasand keep your best fans coming back for more.

You could put them on individual game tickets too, maybe a thankyou email with a link for season passes for next year and a 5% discount on a single game ticket for the same season if you're in the top 20% for the game.

Best part is that its all data driven and semi automated.

Sponsorship would probably be the answer magnetec signs are an easy answer for multipurposing.

For SU: Specific access for season ticket holders to companion tickets.

I know Dan does some of this and the new ticketmaster select a seat layout helps but if season ticket holders could get assistance getting single game tickets near where their seasons are it might help people invite friends.

Maybe season ticket holders could buy companion tickets without the fees or something but they would be non resale tickets with a choice of pickup at willcall or emailed day before the event to cut out the St ubhub market.

SU should promote a giant tailgate party from the parking lots by the ball park/regional market and then run busses to/from the dome like they do for the state fair.

There is a ton of parking there, Jason Smorol should hook up with someone at SU and set it up.
