SEC: 73, 526(Capacity:71,228) 103% full
ACC: 64, 808 (Capacity: 73,298) 88% full
Big Ten: 60,229( Capacity: 67,000) 89% full
Pac 12: 45,618( Capacity 68,500) 67% full

Not bad for the ACC that it had the second highest attendance of the four conference championship games. The ACC had a successful regular season in college football this year.
1 team in the 4 team playoff
3 other teams in the top 21.
11 of 14 teams bowl eligible.

Meanwhile, in Syracuse

I find the ACC # to be a pleasant surprise. GT doesn't travel well at all, and I figured FSU people would be saving their nickels for a potential twofer in LA and Dallas.

I didn't watch a second of the game, had other plans on Saturday night. Did the place look full? And for each team, or like a neutral fan kind of full.

it didnt look FULL, but didnt look like the BC VaTech pic either. FWIW i am suprised about the 64k number that was posted above, sure didnt look like 65k on tv

the # was tickets sold. The lower level looked full and the upper levels maybe 60-65% full.
Not bad for a drizzly damp night. Charlotte is easily the best location. The Florida
experiment was a disaster.

It looked good. A little late arriving as the locals stayed in the pubs for a bit, according to spies.

Fla St has a lot of people with nickels in the footprint. If we ever play in 1, lets hope its not v pitt.

I will post some pictures later. This crowd was as good as the Clemson-Virginia Tech crowd in 2011.
I sat on the Florida State side and Georgia Tech had a nice crowd. Unlike in the past 2 years all of the blue in the lower bowl was full. The upper deck was pretty full on the GT side I couldn't see right above me. The crowd was legit it was a lot better.

Folks in Georgia care about football and it's been a minute since Tech was this good. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they travelled well and FSU always does.

I think the key here is that a spot in the Playoffs was on the line for one of the teams playing in all 4 of these games. If the playoffs were expanded to 8 and the winner was guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, I think the attendance would just go up for the 3 that didn't sell out.

Oh and by the way, how do you sell tickets to 103% of capacity? Sounds like Jerry Jones was selling tickets that didn't exist again.

I know it was a lifetime ago, but I remember that 2001 Kickoff Classic, they had maybe 500 people there. Maybe.

In the Pasqualoni Bowl in 2004, they had more people than us. Doubt they had more than 7,000 though.

There were also a lot of empty seats at home for that Clemson game, more than the attendance figure showed (6,000 unsold). So they are a hard fanbase to figure out.

Georgia Tech fans are fired up about their program and direction right now. I live in North Georgia about 20 minutes from Atlanta and Georgia Tech colors have infiltrated the swarm of UGA red/black.

Your username is officially meaningless to me.

Here I was thinking you were posting from some waterfront mansion in the Hamptons.

Did our attendance go up slightly ?

Louisville game was terrible, other than that I think we will see a spark in the average number maybe?

Haha, I moved down here a year and a half ago. If it helps we can pretend I have a summer home up there.

Us vs. Pitt in Charlotte would make the ACC look back fondly on that VT/BC game.

Not only was the attendance good but it was a very good competitive entertaining game right to the end. Which really was so much better than the blowouts in the other 3 P5 title games.

Under cover at the Town Center Mall perhaps
