after 2 games we are 12K ahead of last year. that 12k would have been enough to pass kentucky. we had 20k for the next 2 games last year and will this year and then we will be at 25K for indiana.. with any hype we could get 4-5 30K games.

We won't even need the high-end crowds (though we're certain to get two of them). Setting a floor of ~22,000 for the crap games rather than ~17,000 is really going to close the gap.

Last night will probably be one of the three smallest crowds of the year (next Monday and Eastern Michigan on New Year's Eve could be in the same ballpark). Unlike each of the last 20 seasons, we won't need to win games to sell tickets. Most of that job is done.

I cannot approve of how they count season ticket holders for attendance whether any of them show up, or not. It lacks integrity. However, as long as they count it that way across the board, I guess I can live with a universal lack of integrity.

Paid attendance is paid attendance. If you sell 22,000 tickets, that's what gets announced, even if only 17,000 show up.

Then they should say, "Tonight's PAID attendance is ..." Of course, they'll never do that. It's not a real statistic about how many were actually at the game. That's what I object to.

Anyway, my feelings on the issue matter not one whit.

We should win this year, lets hope its a good enough season that we get a stretch of years in a row leading in attendance.

I think last night was more like 12000 people in the dome and 22000 announced.
The Cornell game was just over 18000 actual in attendance with the announced 24000
