Attended the Boys and Girls Club Golf Tournament Yesterday

GMac played and represented the SU basketball program, who supports this organization in a major way.

GMac spoke and took questions from the audience. Highlights:

Have much of the credit for the Final Four run to MG and TC. Said they were great senior leaders. Said the team started workouts for next year a couple of weeks ago and it was the first time TC wasn't there in 5 years and MG in four.

Said the staff was sad to lose MR so early. Said he heard the key was a number of teams were looking for wings who could create their own shot. This is a draft weak in wings and reviewing film, MR stood out for his raw potential.

Regarding recruiting, he couldn't name names but said a recruit was on a visit elsewhere right now, and was expected to make a decision in the next 24 hours. You never know in recruiting but the staff feels good about what he will decide.

Also said the staff was thrilled MM and TB were able to finish HS early and attend both sessions of summer school. They are highly motivated and want to be great.

I will add that he also said the Chukwu is a space eater in the zone and will greatly improve our interior defense. And he said all SU fans should be grateful Tyler Lydon didn't decide to explore the NBA this year because he is an absolute stud.

Lastly, he said that the staff is really working hard recruiting right now. Said the team is going to lose a lot of players next year and the 2017 class is going to have to restock the shelves.

GMac thinks the class of 2017 will be the most important recruiting class for Syracuse in the last decade.

It will be so awesome if Lydon has a super great sophomore leap and becomes a top 20 pick in the 2017 draft. Lydon is in such a great position right now to become a star player for our team.
