Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in 2014-2019 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/syracuse/13202/august-weather/329675?year=2019 The numbers are the date, the actual high, the historical average high, the net difference, the cumulative net since January 1st, the numbers of days we exceeded the historical average, the number of days we didn't reach it and the number of days we tied it. August 2019 8/01 83 – 81 = +2 = -18 98-101-14 8/02 84 – 81 = +3 = -15 99-101-14 8/03 85 – 81 = +4 = -11 100-101-14 8/04 80 – 81 = -1 = -12 100-102-14 8/05 84 – 81 = +3 = -9 101-102-14 8/06 89 – 81 = +8 = -1 102-102-14 8/07 80 – 81 = -1 = -2 102-103-14 8/08 85 – 81 = +4 = +2 103-103-14 8/09 79 – 81 = -2 = 0 103-104-14 8/10 74 – 81 = -7 = -7 103-105-14 8/11 79 – 81 = -2 = -9 103-106-14 8/12 84 – 81 = +3 = -6 104-106-14 8/13 83 – 81 = +2 = -4 105-106-14 8/14 82 – 80 = +2 = -2 106-106-14 8/15 81 – 80 = +1 = -1 107-106-14 8/16 82 – 80 = +2 = +1 108-106-14 8/17 83 – 80 = +3 = +4 109-106-14 8/18 87 – 80 = +7 = +11 110-106-14 8/19 85 – 80 = +5 = +16 111-106-14 8/20 84 – 80 = +4 = +20 112-106-14 8/21 83 – 80 = +3 = +23 113-106-14 8/22 76 – 80 = -4 = +19 113-107-14 8/23 75 – 79 = -4 = +15 113-108-14 8/24 72 – 79 = -7 = +8 113-109-14 8/25 77 – 79 = -2 = +6 113-110-14 8/26 77 – 79 = -2 = +4 113-111-14 8/27 76 – 79 = -3 = +1 113-112-14 8/28 72 – 78 = -6 = -5 113-113-14 8/29 76 – 78 = -2 = -7 113-114-14 8/30 78 – 78 = 0 = -7 113-114-15 8/31 73 – 78 = -5 = -12 113-115-15 Comments: It’s been a pretty vanilla August with nothing but single digit differences< (and only 7 of 5 degrees or more). There were 16 days where we exceeded the average high and 14 where we didn’t reach it with one even. We gained a net 8 degrees over 31 days. But we ended with 10 days where we failed to reach the average high 9 times and one day were we exactly reached it. The nights and the breezes have bene cool, giving it a feeling of fall even though we had three more weeks of summer left after the month ended. 2019 Month by Month January -49 12-18-1 February +9 12-15-1 March -58 13-18 April +33 17-13 May -50 11-17-3 June -23 11-16-3 July +118 21-4-6 August +8 16-14-1 Augusts 2014 -26 14-16-1 2015 +17 15-16-0 2016 +129 23-3-5 2017 -37 12-16-3 2018 +37 14-14-3 2019 +8 16-14-1
