He was likely in line to start this coming year alongside Solomon & Rehfuss but would've almost certainly seen his spot taken by Staats for the 2 following years. Ironically, it was Randy Staats taking Derek Maltz's spot on attack that likely played a role in Dylan's transfer to UMD. Of course, there could also be a certain Denver transfer that played a role here. I'm sure Brendan Bomberry has at least casually mentioned the thought to his good buddy this Summer.
