Austin Wilson's Syracuse offer (may 3)

One of the Elite 11 camps was held in NYC over the weekend of April 28 and from what I gather Syracuse gave Wilson a verbal offer in the days just after the camp. I suspect the offer came after they watched his performance at the Elite 11 camp. Don't know for certain but that's my guess.

Austins completion percentage was 55.5%. He was 121-218. 1954 yards passing. 195.4 per game. His NCAA Passing Efficiency formula rating was 151. His team also ran for about 135 yards a game, give or take.

55.5% isn't particularly impressive, but it might not be all on him. How's his HS team? Does he have decent receivers, or is the somewhat low percentage indicative that he might have limited weapons?

He threw for 21 TDs. Don't know about INTs or rushing stats.

Judging by his highlight film, 11 interceptions isn't bad because he wasn't afraid to throw the ball into the teeth of the defense.

If we offered this kid after his performance at the Elite 11 then this is a very good thing.
