They did a lot of that this year where they would move Barkley over and McSorley to RB. They had really good success with it running the ball as well, but I wonder how much of it was the defenses over following Barkley. Would be a good wrinkle to have in the offense with the personal we have.

A guy next to me was trying to explain the rule to his wife and another person chimes in and goes "don't worry no one really knows when it's a penalty." Was definitely hard to tell on that one.

I'm curious how much it would change the game if it wasn't a penalty.

It looked to me like the defense just played it straight up like any other RPO. The difference is they have the best running back in the Country, an o-line that holds blocks, and an athletic tight end who can get up field (because he wasnt stuck helping the o-line).

Speaking of plays to run...back in the coach Mac days they ran a a play that started as an option right, no one wide on the left, TE blocking 5 count and then QB steps back out of the option, looks back other side of field where TE released...always loved that play...defenses always flowed direction of option...always ended in a catch...ok done reminiscing...
