Fwiw, I liked Shafer. I wanted him to succeed. I liked his style of defense and I liked his fire. As bad as Grob was, he recruited Delone Carter, Doug Hogue, Ryan Nassib, Averin Collier (a top 250 recruit at the time), Marcus Sales, and Chandler Jones.
