It seems a lot of coaches do this when they take over a program, and when there have been holdovers from prior staffs here previously, they usually don't last beyond a season - so there must be something to creating a clean slate. (maybe if there's a holdover from the previous staff, the players will have too close of a bond with that position coach and not fully buy in to the new staff?) I'm not going to lose sleep over it. If the new staff puts a compelling product on the field, and the current NJ players on the roster to help build connections - then SU won't be getting shut out of NJ again like after P was let go.
